Stuttering therapist Patrick tells

From my first words, I faced stuttering. For six years I was treated for this by speech therapists. Every time I was told that I would have to learn to live with my stutter. A message I could not accept. Determined to find a solution, I ended up at Del Ferro. There, I finally found the solution to my stuttering problem.

On my first day of classes, I learnt the Del Ferro method personally from Len Del Ferro. I didn’t stutter a word anymore. Magic? For me it did, because for the first time in my life I had deliberately pronounced a sentence fluently.
For many years, I have been allowed to teach this method to trainees and experience great satisfaction in contributing to their journey towards a stutter-free life.
It is so satisfying to see that, like me, they can experience the freedom of fluent speaking.

The book Vanzelfsprekend [DUTCH]

People who do not stutter are often unaware of how disastrous life can be for someone who stutters. And the one who cannot get out of his words cannot tell this. To break this stalemate, this book was published, in which Ingrid Del Ferro explains her experience as a stuttering and breathing specialist and director of the institute.

She describes, together with journalist Lydia van der Weide, what lies behind someone who stutters. For anyone who stutters, as well as those around them: parents, friends, teachers and employers, who want to understand how stuttering can control someone’s life.
