Through my osteopath, I was referred to Del Ferro to deepen my breathing, because I was breathing rather shallowly and in this way this way I could use my lungs even more optimally. Considering the fact that I am a professional athlete and have had 5 operations on my lungs so I was very curious and recognized that I could definitely benefit from this.
Ingrid’s 4 lessons were first of all very instructive and fun, but I could already see the benefits after the first lesson. More air and above all much more peace in my breathing and my whole body.
The lessons after that were mainly focused on making the technique my own, because I noticed that at first it was not yet automatic and so I had to pay very conscious attention to my breathing. Finally, the last lesson we also focused on applying this technique in my lectures that I give regularly.
My husband has heard my lecture many times and he always advised me to speak more quietly, take my time and take a break now and then, but I never really knew how. Last week, he heard me speak again for the first time and thought it was my best lecture ever…. This because, for the first time, I dared to insert ‘pauses’ to give the listener time to reflect on what they had just heard, which made the story come in even more.
Of course, as an athlete, I know that my breathing is important, but that this course has brought me so much, both athletically and in terms of my readings, I didn ‘ t expect!
