The teacher sees a very different Erik in class. A boy who raises his finger to ask a question. He is definitely no longer a quiet boy. So his self-confidence has grown tremendously.
Other teachers made similar comments, and one even complimented him on his very professional approach to dealing with his stutter in class. Erik himself indicates that he enjoys raising his finger so that he can prepare himself for the question/answer he wants to ask/answer himself.
A presentation in class also went very well. Friends comment: “Huh, Erik doesn’t stutter anymore…”
We are immensely proud of him so far! He keeps doing his exercises faithfully, without us having to say so. Reading aloud is also getting better and better. As far as we are concerned, the Del Ferro method has been hugely successful for him!
