Understanding and alleviating your symptoms

First, you start with a thorough inventory of your complaints by means of a questionnaire. Then you will receive an in-depth explanation about breathing: what is an efficient breathing technique and why chest and shoulder breathing often cause problems. You will also watch your breathing with the help of a ventilator.

This makes it immediately clear why you suffer from symptoms, such as fatigue and palpitations. These insights often provide a lot of peace of mind.

You will learn the exercise and training programme. Moreover, you will start working immediately to make the exercises your own.

Progress mental support

Second , a week later during the next lesson, you discuss how the performance of the exercises went. You fill in the questionnaire again to see what degree of improvement has occurred. It also discusses what you did immediately after you experienced symptoms.

The mental aspect of your breating problems is addressed using the metaphor ‘The Flower’. All exercises are gone through again so that you perform them flawlessly. You will also learn new simple breathing exercises: invisible and inaudible techniques that you can apply anytime, anywhere.

Evaluation and refinement

In this lesson, you will learn how to phase out the exercises in line with the reduction of your symptoms.

Again, you complete a questionnaire to compare the results with those of the first lesson.

In this lesson, you discuss your progress. You go through the exercises again so that they can be refined where necessary.
